Club Membership

The 3rd Volunteer Batallion (V.B.) Warwicks Rifle and Pistol Club is a members-only private shooting club.

The club has been approved by the Home Office for Small Bore Rifles, Full Bore Rifles and Muzzle Loading Pistols with the current Home Office approval is valid until the 8th of December 2016. The Club is fully affiliated to the National Rifle Association (UK).

Shooting is a rewarding and challenging sport and hobby enjoyed by a wide range of people from a diverse range of different socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. In the United Kingdom anyone who is not a prohibited person may take up shooting and apply to own their own firearms. Under Section 44 of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1997 any person wishing to possess a rifle or muzzle-loading pistol solely for target shooting must be a member of an approved rifle club.

Under the current Criteria for Approval as set out by the Home Office anyone who applies for membership must be of good character and must be sponsored by at least one Full Club Member.

The Club has three main classes of membership:

Club Executive Committee Members (made up from elected Full Club Members)

Full Club Members

Probationary Club Members
